Cabin Fever and making boats

Like nearly everyone here in Queensland we have been getting a little bit of Cabin Fever from the constant rain. I know that I have never, ever seen so much rain and I really hope there is no more to come.

One of our favourite things to do on a raining day is to race boats. There is a great little stream that flows straight through our closest school. So this is where we head to race our handmade speed racers.

We created our boats out of Kitchen Foil. This is a fairly easy activity but time consuming, which is exactly what we wanted on a rainy day!
We raced and raced and then we jumped and jumped. By the end of our journey we were pretty much swimming. Along the way we played with the mud clay and made some awesome sculptors. We usually bring the mud clay back home to play with, but this time we just wanted to say out of the house.
